Preamble

Our institution is committed to creating a safe and respectful environment for all students, faculty, and staff, free from sexual harassment, ragging, and other forms of harassment. We recognize the importance of preventing and addressing such conduct, and are committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure our institution remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

Scope

This policy applies to all students of the institution, covering conduct on campus, during institution-related activities, and in hostel or transport facilities associated with the institution.

To prevent sexual harassment and ragging from occurring within the institution

Fair Redressal

To address complaints in a fair, prompt, and effective manner

To provide support and immediate response to victims

To promote awareness about harassment and its prevention

Zero Tolerance Policy

  • The institution maintains a written protocol outlining identification, reporting, and intervention procedures
  • Cases of suspected risk are handled confidentially and with sensitivity

  • All complaints and investigation proceedings are kept confidential
  • Faculty and staff are trained to recognize early signs of distress

Counselling Services

The institution provides access to professional counseling services in-house and through collaborations with licensed mental health professionals. Sessions remain confidential and free of cost for students.

Emergency Support

Crisis intervention services operate 24×7 with a clear referral pathway to psychiatric facilities in case of emergencies.

Student Peer Volunteers
Offer peer-level listening support and guide peers toward professional help

Ensure adequate resources, funding, and enforcement of the policy

Monitoring & Review

This policy is reviewed annually by the Institutional Committee to ensure effectiveness and relevance, incorporating feedback from stakeholders. This includes overall leadership review, an annual assessment of the policy, and collection of feedback from students and staff for continuous improvement.
